Victoria’s country scene has been steadily growing over recent years with one fundamental problem; fans had no where to go to kick up their heels and listen to their favourite tunes. Enter The Duke Saloon, opened by the group behind Darcy’s Pub and Upstairs Lounge, the owners saw an opportunity to create a unique venue for this growing crowd.
Our challenge was to transform a run down 90’s era nightclub into a modern country bar, a space that would speak to both die hard country fans and casual club goers alike. Using wall graphics, plywood and reclaimed materials, while playing off the existing brick bones of the space, our goal was to take the concept for the interior beyond the stereotype and provide a nightclub that would tell a specific story while catering to all.
